The Moral Arch

During our time of celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., he spoke of the moral arch of the universe bending towards justice in America, and the world but, it is long. God’s patience with us and the children of Israel demanded justice from God, but on the arch was grace and mercy.  The justice arch of America today has been sizzled by the torch that bends the arch towards bigotry, hate and racism. As disciples of Christ, we are duty bound to re-shape the arch of justice towards love.  Whether we live a short time or a long time it should be for God.  Our lives are in the hands of God and though days seem dark, gloomy and painful, our faith in Christ and work with our hands for Christ will prevail as a new Moral Arch for humanity.     First, Romans 8:35 asks, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?” Verses 38-39 answer, “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
